Trev is a great son. Today's YW lesson talked about developing our talents instead of hiding them and he has done so well with this. He wrote another song this week using some jazz chords that my musically talented brother Chris taught him. It is catchy and sounds really good. My talented brother Nate, takes Trev surfing almost every weekend which is the source of Trev's musical inspiration so here's a big thank you to my bros for sharing their talents with Trev which only helps him develop his own. This was another point from the lesson. Our talents are actually given to us for the benefit of others. Since we don't all have the same talents it is our job to discover and develop what we've been given then share it with with everyone around us so all can be beneficiaries.
This lesson was so eloquently delivered by the gracious Heidi Nobmann who taught us to develop our talents instead of hiding them away. Heidi illustrated this by pointing out her straight lined chalkboard writing wasn't developed without practice. Her mom was a teacher so she had plenty of practice developing this excellent skill. Heidi is the best and I benefited from her lesson today.
Lastly, today we had a great BYD at Bishop Shields home. He and Heidi have created a wonderful home that is always full of energy, excitement and fun and isn't this a talent too. We all have so many talents, I hope that we can continue to learn from eachother and benefit from what we each have to offer.
